As the In-Work project concludes after two years of dedicated collaboration, we reflect on its impactful journey and the final event, “Best Practices in Inclusive Work-Integrated Learning in Higher Education.”
Launched in 2022, this initiative has focused on the university’s role in fostering an inclusive culture within its region. The project aimed to bridge the gap between academic institutions and the working world, particularly for individuals with special needs. Using the Work-Integrated Learning (WIL) method, which incorporates work-based learning opportunities like internships and traineeships, the project helped participants gain meaningful work experiences.
The final event, held as a webinar on October 10, 2024, gathered participants to celebrate the project’s achievements. The event featured an overview of the project, a presentation of the WIL guidelines, and heartfelt testimonials from those involved. The session concluded with a lively Q&A, giving attendees the chance to engage directly with the project team and learn about its outcomes.
Thank you to everyone who joined us!
